Detail Itinerary of Everest Base Camp Trek 14 Days
Day 1: Kathmandu to Lukla flight then trek to Phakding (2,650 m).
We fly to Lukla from Kathmandu after being picked up at the Tribhuvan International Airport. This thrilling 30-minute flight will already be attractive because it shows breathtaking views of the Himalayas. You can also take alternative routes from a drive to Manthali and then to Lukla to avoid much traffic. While it takes a bit of time, it will cut down on transport costs.
The trek from Lukla moves forward to Phakding by following the path beside the Dudh Koshi River. The descent through this brief trek takes between 3 to 4 hours to finish. The trail showcases glacier views and waterfall sights as it provides an attractive beginning for our adventure.
We then move on to Phakding, which serves as the first stop for hikers at a lower elevation which offers peaceful surroundings after spending the initial day trekking.

Day 2: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m).
Today, we start our trek to Namche Bazaar after having breakfast at Phakding. Our trip entails multiple crossings over suspension bridges after moving past various remarkable waterfalls. From this point on, the trek brings travelers to Monjo, which is the starting point for visitors to Sagarmatha National Park. The authorities inspect all permits here before we travel into the thick woodland. During the elevation climb to Namche, we encounter Mount Everest for the first time.
Namche Bazaar stands as both the principal town of the Everest region and the main access point to Everest via its crowded market and range of guesthouses and cafes.

Day 3: Rest day and acclimatization at Namche Bazaar.
The third day serves the essential purpose of acclimatization, during which the body adapts to more elevated altitudes. Beyond being a resting point, Namche Bazaar thrives as a town with restaurants, stores, and cultural attractions. Local bakeries and the Sherpa Museum will be open, and we can explore Namche Bazaar.
During their rest day, travelers often choose short hikes to the Everest View Hotel, which provides breathtaking vistas of Lhotse, Everest, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and Lobuche. A crucial rest period is essential here for us to enable our bodies to adapt to the future elevated altitude.

Day 4: Trek from Namche to Tengboche/Deboche (3,855 m).
After breakfast in Namche Bazaar, we start climbing toward Tengboche. The hiking path showcases ample cultural elements, including campuses of Buddhist monasteries, numerous stupas, chortens, and Gompas. When we climb Mong La Pass (3,975 m) we receive countless glorious sights of Mount Ama Dablam and Everest together with Lhotse and Nuptse. Hikers who travel toward Tengboche pass through forest areas and can observe musk deer as well as Himalayan Tahr.
When we reach Tengboche the area displays prayer flags and the notable Dawa Choling Gompa (Tengboche Monastery) which contributes to a unique cultural encounter. This spot is one of the religious sanctuaries and a main attraction on the trekking route.

Day 5: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m).
The hiking trail leads to the lovely village of Dingboche positioned within a vast area covered with trees. The trek spans 5 to 6 hours while we rise in elevation where we come across barley buckwheat and potato terrace farming land. At Dingboche, you can rest and rejuvenate in a peaceful location that provides views of beautiful mountains all around it.
The environment becomes more severe, but the mountain views compensate for these conditions beautifully. The sleeping accommodations in Dingboche provide guests with Himalayan summit views of peaks like Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Cho Oyu, and Makalu.

Day 6: Rest day and acclimatization at Dingboche.
The day serves as an important period for adjusting to the higher altitude. Our group makes a tour climb to Nangkartshang Hill so we can view both Ama Dablam and Makalu peaks in their entirety. Visitors need 3 hours to reach the summit, where incredible mountain vistas await. The hike is essential for letting the body acclimate to the increased altitude, which will boost one’s preparedness.
When returning to Dingboche, we can rest and relax, observe yaks grazing in the landscape, and view the terraced fields. The day concludes with an enjoyable dinner while we witness the magnificent peaks in the distance.

Day 7: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,930 m).
Our trek from Dingboche leads us towards Lobuche. The initial stretch of the path expands into a broader surface before turning into a narrow ascending pathway. During our adventure, we will encounter the sites of both Thukla and the memorial for people who died among the mountaineers. From this point on, the slope gradually transforms. The route reveals spectacular mountain views, including Pumori, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Makalu.
The settlement at Lobuche gives visitors spectacular mountain views of both Lobuche peaks as well as the Nuptse mountain range beside multiple snow covered peaks. Dingboche is considered a peaceful, beautiful resting stop before continuing ahead

Day 8: Trek from Lobuche to EBC (5,364 m) via Gorak Shep (5,185 m).
The main highlight of our Mt Everest Base Camp trek is here as we start the ascend to Everest Base Camp. A 4-kilometer uneven terrain hike through rough conditions leads walkers from Lobuche to Gorak Shep. We proceed in a manageable way during our hike to prevent altitude sickness because we draw near to regional glacial formations. We first reach Gorak Shep where we take a break before our continuation. A 5 km hiking trek leads us to reach the 5,364 m altitude of Everest Base Camp. We experience stunning peaks such as Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, Makalu, and Mount Everest after we arrive at the location.
Taking this amazing moment on the trek and your life, you remember the scenery deeply and later return to Gorak Shep for the night.

Day 9: Hike to Kala Patthar (5,555 m) viewpoint then to Pheriche (4,250 m).
Hiking to Kala Patthar at dawn is one of the most popular highlights for which we must wake up early. A sunrise in the Himalayan range offers breathtaking views which include Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. We can take breathtaking photos of the area when the golden sun rays pass over the mountain peaks before returning to Gorak Shep for breakfast. The next half of the day, we will move to Pheriche, which is situated at a lower elevation, to spend the night there.
With this rest area, we achieve better altitude adaptation before continuing our trip. After finishing their day, the travelers rested for the night in Pheriche, which awarded both rewards and thrilling sensations.

Day 10: Trek from Pheriche to Tengboche (3,855 m).
A full breakfast in Pheriche provides us with energy as we walk downhill towards Tengboche. Our path leads us through several natural sites, starting with rhododendron forests, continuing onto the Imja Khola bridge, and culminating in juniper woods.
Today’s trek leads us to Tengboche while exposing spectacular views of the natural area during our adventure. The famous Tengboche Monastery stands in the middle of the Khumbu region in this village. We spend the night at Hotel Good Luck after a trekking day while enjoying both a delicious dinner including delicious dal bhat and momo, and a pleasant rest.

Day 11: Trek from Tengboche to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m).
After leaving Tengboche, we return to Namche Bazaar for breakfast. The path through this forested area allows viewers to spot musk deer, pheasants, and snow leopards.
During our walk through the path, we see several prayer flags and chortens and admire breathtaking views of Mount Lhotse, Nuptse, Thamserku, Cho Oyu, and Mount Everest. We arrive at Namche Bazaar, where we stay at Sakura Guest House before having dinner and contemplating our progress from the beginning.

Day 12: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Phakding (2,650 m).
The shorter descent from Namche Bazaar leads us through Phakding while following the Dudh Koshi River shoreline. The trail proceeds through trees as it crosses bridge anchors leading to Phakding.
The relaxation at this location helps us pause and reflect on our experiences so far. We stay at Khumbu Travel Lodge and eat meals prepared to revive our energy for the final section.

Day 13: Trek from Phakding to Lukla (2,860 m).
After completing our trekking expedition, Lukla serves as our starting and ending destination. We ascend moderately through Kusum Stream and Dudh Koshi Valley until reaching Lukla. When arriving, the path grows steeper as new, broad views of the environment become visible.
After arriving in Lukla we will spend our night at Comfort Inn while having dinner as a group before returning to Kathmandu.

Day 14: Fly back to Kathmandu/Manthali from Lukla
After breakfast, you will take a 35-minute flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. The aircraft will carry you to your destination, and you will enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the peaks and villages. Upon reaching Nepal, you will receive transportation to a hotel in Thamel or other selected alternative areas.
You can spend the remaining day either relaxing or sightseeing at Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath, or Kathmandu Durbar Square. This is when your Everest Base Camp Trek 14 Days ends, with all the mesmerizing memories to take. We have a farewell dinner and hope to see you on a further trip to Nepal.
